The Lazy Daze Caravan Club was born from the vision of Paul Newton and Harold Hamm, who started building truck campers in the early 50s. Their innovative approach to camper construction led to the creation of the "house car" concept, which was a significant advancement in the RV industry. The club, founded by Paul Newton, has grown to become a strong community of Lazy Daze camper owners. In its over 60 years of existence, the club has registered 3,149 Lazy Daze RVs. The last one was registered on 9/15/25 (as of 10/1//25).
The club emphasizes family fun and adventure, with activities like washer toss, crafts, nature walks, daily door prizes and tech talk. The club has evolved over the years, with a diverse membership that includes retired individuals and working families. The Lazy Daze Caravan Club continues to be a hub for RV enthusiasts, offering a platform for camaraderie and shared experiences among its members.
